Here you will find my educational history, teaching and marketing
experience outside the field of energy conservation. |

Experienced as a Teacher:
Technical Writing is essentially teaching narrowly defined subjects
to specific audiences. Much of what I learned as a tech. writing student
at the University of Washington was how to define my students or audience.
With a specific audience, the writer (teacher) can design the message so
that it will match the education level, temperament and learning style
needed for effective communication.
Experienced as a Marketer:
Marketing is a specialized form of teaching. Classroom teaching offers
information and lets the student decide what, if anything, to do with it.
Marketing goes the extra step of attempting to get a specific result from
the information provided. |
